I’m Son, originally from Hanoi 🇻🇳, now based in the Washington DC area 🇺🇸. Personally, I’m a gaming enthusiast, food lover, travel addict, and proud owner of Luna 🐶, my Aussiedoodle. Professionally, I’m an experienced data engineer. Let’s connect and get to know more about each other!

So how would I describe myself in a few sentences…?

Some of my experience over the years…

  • Squarespace

    Currently, I’m working as a Data Engineer at Squarespace, a website building and domain hosting company, based in New York City. Here, I’m working under the Finance Products team to build and maintain data pipelines for accounting, revenue recognition, and financial analysis.

  • Telnyx

    Previously, I worked as a Data Engineer at Telnyx, a telecom unicorn startup based in Chicago. Working at a fast-paced startup, I had the chance to learn a lot of modern tech stacks like Airflow, Prometheus, and Grafana, and work with Cloud technology like AWS and Google Cloud.

  • DataLab USA

    My first job after graduation. I moved to Washington DC and started working as an Application Developer at DataLab USA. During this time, I learned to work with SQL and Python to optimize the processing of a huge volume of data by building a data pipeline to leverage multi-threading and multi-processing between several production servers.

  • Augustana College

    This is where it all started. I started college in 2016 at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. During this time, I worked multiple campus jobs: tutor, grader, cafeteria server, and data analyst for the Institutional Research and Assessment Office. I graduated summa cum laude in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
